We get paid to sell things […] The post It’s That Catalyst Again… appeared first on All Star Charts.

about 1 year ago by noreply@blogger.com (Declan Fallon) @ Fallond Picks

It's holiday season and blog traffic is way down, but while people are away enjoying their vacation those traders left behind have decided to drive a break of resistance in the Russell 2000.  There is no confirmed accumulation, but there was a new 'buy' trigger in the MACD and an outperformance relative to the S&P. <img border="0" data-original-height="750" data-original-width="620" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVvm372sEL4M8aIWMXhe2_TsOv6fYbXuGtJxmGMJaQxiROwFe53jUxMjkexHMHYFLkxBsxTaNWBKfFhkmPtGKQQY9otV2omokwCMoONlzvkYSNdm-eFTc2QODg_pJu1zWzx39pTTOwlSGyYUqBfSX0MS-xbuihm...

A breakdown in the US dollar index $DXY would no doubt send gold bugs dancing […] The post Will Real Rates Block Gold’s Advance? appeared first on All Star Charts.

Leading Index for Commercial Real Estate Decreased in June
about 1 year ago by Calculated Risk @ Calculated Risk

From Dodge Data Analytics: Decline in Institutional Planning Drops Dodge Momentum Index Down 3% in June The Dodge Momentum Index (DMI), issued by Dodge Construction Network, declined 2.5% in June to 197.3 (2000=100) from the revised May reading of 202.4. Over the month, the commercial component of the DMI rose 3.1%, while the institutional component sunk 10.5%. “A deceleration in institutional planning caused the Momentum Index to decrease in June,” said Sarah Martin, associate director of forecasting for Dodge Construction Network. “Project activity in this segment pulled back from the robust highs of the last three months but continued to dwarf year-ago levels. In contrast, growth in the commercial segment may be fleeting, as the continued elevation in interest rates and increasingly tight lending standar...
