Friday's selling ranks as distribution, but positives remain
about 1 year ago by noreply@blogger.com (Declan Fallon) @ Fallond Picks

It was inevitable sellers would come in to pick at the breakout, and they did so with aplomb, but not before they left behind some bullish signs. Last Friday was not an options expiration day, so volume ranked as distribution, but no support level was challenged by the close of business. The biggest selling was found in the Russell 2000 ($IWM), but such action didn't reverse any of the bullish technical signals in the index.<img border="0" data-original-height="750" data-original-width="620" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi9xgr3atZMLyNY4nZi1dGT8O364SJdt2DI06XahbAy...

LA Port Inbound Traffic Down Sharply YoY in June
about 1 year ago by Calculated Risk @ Calculated Risk

Notes: The expansion to the Panama Canal was completed in 2016 (As I noted several years ago), and some of the traffic that used the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach is probably going through the canal. This might be impacting TEUs on the West Coast. Container traffic gives us an idea about the volume of goods being exported and imported - and usually some hints about the trade report since LA area ports handle about 40% of the nation's container port traffic. The following graphs are for inbound and outbound traffic at the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach in TEUs (TEUs: 20-foot equivalent units or 20-foot-long cargo container). To remove the strong seasonal component for in...

Chasing the Outperformance of Home Builders
about 1 year ago by Dr. Duru @ Dr. Duru

I assumed the seasonal trade on home builders came to an end some time in May. However, the tailwinds lifting builders higher remain as strong as ever. This strength and outperformance has confused and confounded those assuming higher interest rates would mean disaster for the housing market and an eventual recession. A recent upgrade for ... TRADING TIPS: BREAKING THE CYCLE OF NEGATIVITY
about 1 year ago by Akil Stokes (Trading Coach at Tier On... @ Trading Coach Podcast

BREAK THE CYCLE OF NEGATIVITY - Traders have a bad habit of punishing themselves when they lose (for losing money), but also punishing themselves when they win (for not making more money). These acts consistently feed our mind with negativity & well like they always say... YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT! #TradingTips #Mindset #Success
