Canarc Resource Corp. is a mineral exploration company. The Company is engaged in evaluation, acquisition, exploration and development of natural resource properties of merit. The Company operates through the mineral exploration segment. It intends to seek and to acquire additional properties worthy of exploration and development. The Company owns a direct interest in the precious metal property, known as the New Polaris property and the Windfall Hills properties. The Company also owns interest in the El Compas property. El Compas property is a permitted gold silver project located in Zacatecas, Mexico and consists of approximately 20 concessions totaling over 3,900 hectares. New Polaris is an early Tertiary mesothermal gold mineralized body located in northwestern British Columbia approximately 100 kilometers south of Atlin, British Columbia and 60 kilometers northeast of Juneau, Alaska. The Company has completed a Phase I exploration program on its Windfall Hills project.
