Aztec Minerals Corp is a Canada-based development-stage company. The Company is engaged in the acquisition, exploration and development of mineral resource properties. The Company has interests in the Cervantes Property located in Sonora, Mexico. The Cervantes Property is located in the east-central part of the State of Sonora in northern Mexico, approximately 150 kilometers east-southeast of the city of Hermosillo, the State Capitol. The concessions that makes up the Cervantes Property are the Cervantes and Quijote concessions covering approximately 500 hectares. Mineralization at the Cervantes Property is of the porphyry type. Mineralization in this type of deposit is related to felsic porphyry intrusions and includes mineralization hosted in the intrusive rocks and related breccias, such as porphyry copper, copper-molybdenum or copper gold types. The Company has not generated any revenues. Minera Azteca Dorada SA de CV is the subsidiary of the Company.
