[Options] Settle In For The Chop
about 16 hours ago by Sean McLaughlin @ All Star Charts

Today was only one day but it felt like it may have offered us a clue. The major indices — S&P 500, NASDAQ, Dow, Russell 2000 — all experienced notable pullbacks. Perhaps the first notable pullbacks we’ve seen in at least two weeks. Now does this mean we picked the top and we’re about to […] The post [Options] Settle In For The Chop appeared first on All Star Charts.

Wednesday: Richmond Fed, Architecture Billings Index

From Matthew Graham at Mortgage News Daily: Mortgage Rates Dodging Some Risk For NowAs it happened, bonds staged a somewhat impressive recovery with help from investor concern about global growth. Oftentimes, a big loss in equities markets can send money running to the bond market where it benefits interest rates. This was the case overnight with Chinese stocks leading the way. The strong start in bonds allowed lenders to keep rates roughly unchanged and--in some cases--slightly lower. Tech Reverses Off Resistance; Bull Traps for Semiconductors and Russell 2000
about 18 hours ago by Declan Fallon @ Fallond Picks

After two short plays were cut from under Large Cap traders it's now the turn of Small Caps and Tech indices to take a second bite of the cherry. In the case of Tech indices, there is resistance to work with too.The Russell 2000 finished the day with a 'bull trap', reversing Friday's breakout. This is a fresh shorting opportunity with a stop above 1,487. Technicals are bullish so there is no suggestive weakness which may guide to further downside so keep stops tight.  The last stop was whipped out so without clear resistance there is a chance this could follow with another whipsaw signal.<img border="0" data-original-height="750" data-original-width="620" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-SIT_EExcpEI/XEeZ6W...

Where Are U.S. Stocks Today?
about 21 hours ago by JC @ All Star Charts

There are many ways to gauge the strength or weakness of the U.S. Stock Market. For us, there isn’t a single “best way” to do it. The advantage we have is that we just analyze all of them. There are over 50 charts in my U.S. Stock Market Indexes workbook alone. But today I want to […] The post Where Are U.S. Stocks Today? appeared first on All Star Charts.
