First Asset Morningstar Advantaged U.S. Consumer Defensive Index Fund (the Fund) is a closed-end investment trust. The Fund's investment objectives are to provide unitholders with monthly cash distributions and the opportunity for capital appreciation. The Fund invests in a portfolio (the Portfolio) that is designed to replicate, to the extent possible, the performance of the Morningstar Consumer Defensive Index (the Index), net of expenses. The Portfolio will invest in the securities of the issuers consisting of the Index in the same proportion as these constituents represent in the Index and accordingly the composition of the portfolio will vary from time to time based on the composition of the Index. The manager and investment advisor for the Fund is First Asset Investment Management Inc., which provides portfolio advisory and management services with respect to the Portfolio.
